Winter Commencement will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 7, 2023, at the Sevierville Convention Center. Doors will open at 9 a.m. This ceremony will include both undergraduate and graduate students. The Sevierville Convention Center is located at 202 Gists Creek Rd., Sevierville, TN 37876. More information will follow closer to date.
DECEMBER GRADUATION PHOTOGRAPHY
GradImages photographers will be taking all the professional photographs at Carson-Newman’s commencement ceremonies on December 7th. This will include receiving diploma portraits for undergraduate and graduate degree recipients, and hooding photographs of doctoral candidates. GradImages will typically send proofs and order forms to graduates by mail a few days after commencement. Orders may then be placed by mail or online.
For graduates who wish to have an informal graduation portrait session in cap and gown away from the stress of graduation day, Hester Photography, which has provided photography for Carson-Newman for many years, is offering in-studio sessions each half hour from 10:00am-6:00pm on Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday, December 4-6. The session is free, but proofing, ordering and product payment will take place at the time of the photography session.
